Formpipe, specialist provider of enterprise content management software, is delighted to be participating in the upcoming World Digital Preservation Day, as part of its continued commitment to help preserve business assets. The annual event, being held on 29th November 2018, aims for the digital community to come together to raise awareness around the importance of data preservation, translating into greater knowledge that spans across all aspects of society, including business, policy making and personal good practice.
As part of the celebration, Formpipe will also be attending the Digital Preservation Awards, with the 2018 ceremony taking place in Amsterdam. The awards will celebrate the best work in digital preservation across a variety of sectors, and Formpipe’s attendance follows the announcement of their support for the Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC). The collaboration has allowed both organisations to further progress their work in helping to equip organisations, as well as individuals, for their future.
Looking forward to World Digital Preservation Day, Ben Saxton, head of Europe sales at Formpipe commented: “Data preservation is an incredibly important consideration for businesses, so being able to take part in an event that raises awareness for the cause is something we are very passionate about. World Digital Preservation Day, as well as the Digital Preservation Awards, is a great opportunity to celebrate the great work being done to secure the future of our assets. We are very excited to be heading out to Amsterdam to take part in the event and look forward to building upon the positive momentum around data preservation in the year to come.”
World Digital Preservation Day takes place on the 29th November 2018, marking the second year of this celebration and day of awareness for digital preservation. The awards ceremony will be streamed around the world live from Amsterdam at: https://www.dpconline.org/events/digital-preservation-awards.
