Wesleyan, the specialist financial services mutual, is celebrating after winning three national awards.
The Birmingham-based business won the Investment Strategy of the Year award at the 2018 Insurance Asset Management Awards for its forward-thinking investment strategy, led by investments managing director, Robert Vaudry.
Meanwhile, Wesleyan’s marketing team were also recognised with a double award win on the same night, walking away from the Financial Services Forum Marketing Awards as winners in the Content Marketing and Relationship Marketing categories.
Robert Vaudry, Investments Managing Director at Wesleyan, said: “As a mutual, we take a long-term investment view across our fund range. Our investment strategy reflects this – we follow a ‘buy and hold’ approach and use times of market volatility to acquire shares at a price that we believe represents good value and the potential to achieve strong returns over time. This way of working means that we have an enviable performance record over the long term, which benefits our members and customers.
“I’m very proud of my team for their consistently strong performance and keeping Wesleyan’s members and customers front-of-mind at all times. This award is testament to the work our Fund Managers and Analysts do on a daily basis.”
Organised and hosted by Insurance Asset Management, the annual awards celebrate excellence in the UK and global insurance sector.
Wesleyan has a track record of success at the awards, having also taken home Active Manager of the Year at the 2017 ceremony.
Both awards took place on Thursday 29 November.
